President Tinubu hails ex-IG of Police on his birthday
President Bola Tinubu has extended warm birthday wishes to former Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Abubakar Adamu, who also doubles as the Walin Lafiya, as he marks his birthday on Wednesday, September 17, 2025.
In a statement issued by presidential spokesperson Bayo Onanuga, the President lauded Adamu’s long-standing dedication to national service, highlighting his tenure as the 20th Inspector General of Police as a period marked by firm leadership and commitment to public order.
President Tinubu praised Adamu’s efforts in advancing policing reforms and modernizing operational standards across the country.
He also acknowledged the former police chief’s significant role in mentoring upcoming officers and reinforcing the institutional strength of the Nigeria Police Force.
