Ex District head, brother killed in gunmen attack

At about 8pm on Monday night in Jagindi, Jema’a Local government area of Kaduna State, armed men stormed the community with motorbikes and attacked the house of the former village head.

The former District Head of Jagindi Tasha, Mr. Danaladi Barde was killed alongside his brother who is identified as Moses while he was trying to settle a family dispute.

It was learnt that the attack on the village left several others injured and even though the perpetrators have not been caught, Jema’a Local Government Council Chairman, Mr. Peter Danjuma Averik while confirming the news said that security operatives have been mobilised in order to contain the situation.

He finally pleaded to the village residents to remain calm as he’s sure that the perpetrators would be caught in no time.
