Four members of the House of Representatives formally dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and crossed the floor to join the All Progressives Congress (APC) .

This high-profile mass defection comes just one week after Governor Siminalayi Fubara himself jumped ship to the ruling party, signaling a tectonic shift in the state’s power dynamics.

The lawmakers leading the charge are Manuchim Umezuruike (Port Harcourt I), Boniface Emerengwa (Ikwerre/Emuoha), Awake-Inombek Abiante (Andoni/Opobo), and Boma Goodhead (Asari-Toru). Their move accelerates the dramatic political realignment currently sweeping through Rivers State.
