JUST IN; Emir of Ilorin mourns Grand Khalifah of Tijaniyyah Movement
Ilorin, Sept. 24, 2025 (NAN) The Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari has expressed sadness over the demise of the Grand Khalifah of the Tijaniyyah Movement in the state, Sheikh Yusuf Agbade.
A condolence message issued on Wednesday in Ilorin by his Spokesman, Dr Abdulazeez Arowona, quotes Sulu-Gambari as describing the death as a colossal loss to the entire Muslim Ummah and humanity in general.
The Emir, who is also the Chairman Kwara Traditional Rulers Council, said that the deceased was a strong unifying factor in the Ilorin Emirate and beyond.
“Sheikh Yusuf Agbade had exceptional leadership and network within the Tijaniyyah Movement globally, with unwavering dedication to the unity of entire human race.
“I commiserate with the immediate family members of the deceased, friends and entire Tijaniyyah Movement in Kwara, Nigeria and worldwide,” Sulu-Gambari said.
The Emir also prayed that Almighty Allah forgive the Grand Khalifah’s shortcomings, accept his good deeds and admit him into Al-Janatul Firdaos. (NAN)
