I don’t smoke marijuana – Famous Monarch refutes drug allegations
The Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrasheed Adewale Akanbi, has vehemently denied allegations that he smokes marijuana, publicly disassociating himself from the illicit drug and placing a curse on those spreading the rumors.
In a viral video where he was seen addressing a public gathering, the monarch described the accusations as “false” and “fabricated.”
He stated that divine punishment awaited those who link him to drug use, labeling them as “unfortunate people.”
“They are lying against me. They are unfortunate people. Unless I am smoking marijuana. If I’m a smoker, God should remove me from this throne,” Oba Akanbi declared.
He then turned his curse on his accusers, saying, “You, who are accusing me of being a smoker, God will punish you.”
The statement comes after a recent Court of Appeal ruling upheld his enthronement as the Paramount Ruler of Iwoland.
Oba Akanbi expressed his joy over the court’s decision, reiterating his belief that his reign is divinely ordained and cannot be challenged by human efforts.
