Armed Men may force two Governors out of office – Federal Govt warned
The Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has issued a strong warning to President Bola Tinubu and National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu, urging immediate and decisive action on Nigeria’s worsening insecurity to prevent insurgents from seizing control of state governments.
In a statement released on Tuesday through his media aide, Oluwatosin Osho, Ayodele cautioned that terrorists and bandits are plotting to make the country ungovernable, particularly targeting government houses in the North.
“There are forces working behind the scenes to destabilize this government,” the cleric said. “If the situation is not urgently addressed, it could escalate into something more disastrous.”
He specifically advised the governors of Borno and Benue—Babagana Zulum and Hyacinth Alia—to treat the threat with utmost seriousness, warning that they could be forced out of office if insurgents succeed in their plans.
“I am telling President Tinubu and the NSA that this is not a matter to take lightly. These insurgents want to undermine the presidency and wage an unrelenting battle. If care is not taken, they could sack a sitting governor,” Ayodele warned.
He also urged the nation to intensify prayers, predicting that the wave of insecurity could spread beyond the North to other states, including the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
“This threat will extend to Abuja, Kaduna, Yobe, and Nasarawa. We must act fast and remain vigilant,” the prophet added.
