Two suspected cultists identified by gang members in custody arrested over alleged murder

The Police Command in Delta says it has arrested two suspected cultists over alleged involvement in murder incidence.
The command’s spokesman , SP Bright Edafe disclosed this to newsmen on Tuesday in Warri.
Edafe said that the suspects were identified by members of their gang currently in the custody of the police.
He recalled a murder incident on Jan. 20, where members of Supreme Vikings Confraternity shot and stabbed to death Alex Adanike.
The spokesman said that the incident happened at Agbhara-Otor Community in Ughelli North Local Government Area of the state.
According to him, the suspects mistook the deceased for his twin brother, Okpako Adanike.
“Extensive investigation into the matter earlier led to the arrest of two suspects who both confessed to committing the crime.
“The recent raid on criminal hideouts in Ughelli and Warri areas of the state has led to the arrest of two additional suspects.
“The duo were identified by their gang members earlier arrested as being involved in the murdered of the deceased,” he said.
Edafe said that all the suspects had admitted to the crime. (NAN)
