Four famous Gospel Singers die in ghastly road accident
In a heartbreaking incident along the Ikorodu–Sagamu Road in Ogun State, four renowned gospel ministers, including Evangelist Ayodeji David (popularly known as Kekere Jesu), Evangelist Iyanu Joseph, Opeyemi Adesina, and Monjolajesu Oluwapamilerin, have tragically lost their lives in a fatal road accident.
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) confirmed the tragic news in a statement issued by Florence Okupe, the Public Information Officer for Ogun State Command.
The ministers were reportedly on their way to fulfill a ministry assignment when the accident occurred.
According to the FRSC, the vehicle carrying the ministers collided with another vehicle in a high-impact crash, resulting in the immediate deaths of all four occupants.
Initial reports from The Nation newspaper suggest that the incident involved multiple vehicles and claimed the lives of over 24 individuals.
Preliminary investigations indicate that excessive speeding and poor visibility were significant factors contributing to the deadly crash.
In the wake of the tragedy, it has been reported that Kekere Jesu and his senior brother’s wife have already been laid to rest.
Meanwhile, the remains of his personal assistant have been taken to Ado-Ekiti, and his fiancée’s body has been returned to her family for burial.
