Seven teenagers found dead inside church

According to a report from the spokesman for the East Shewa Zone police station in Ethiopia, Commander Aschalew Alemu, the dead bodies of seven teenagers were found in a church in Ethiopia’s eastern Oromia region.
The dead bodies of the seven teenagers, six male and one female were said to have been found inside a room at the St Joseph Church which housed a generator on Sunday, about 3am before the celebration of Easter.
According to Commander Alemu, he is surprised on how the teenagers got entry into the church, since state of emergency due to the outbreak of coronavirus has been announced in the country since April 10.
He however disclosed that the police is currently investigating if suffocation from the generator is the cause of the death of the teenagers and that 11 people had been arrested in connection with the deaths.
Ethiopia, which has the largest Orthodox Christian population outside Europe marked Easter on Sunday, April 19 and the dead bodies of the teenagers (all under the age of 20) was found in the church on Sunday.
