Rabiu Kwankwaso spotted inside presidential villa, snubs Press men

Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, the New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP) presidential candidate in the last general elections, was seen on Monday at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

He was there for the Nigeria Forest Economy Summit 2025, an event organised by the Presidential Committee on Economic and Financial Inclusion (PreCEFI).

Kwankwaso kept a low profile at the summit; he didn’t deliver a speech or speak with reporters present.

Meanwhile, the Vice President, represented by his Deputy Chief of Staff, Ibrahim Hadejia, gave a stark warning during the summit about the critical condition of Nigeria’s forests.

He emphasised the severe economic consequences if the issue isn’t addressed immediately.

On a more optimistic note, Dr. Sadiq Sani, Founder and CEO of Netzence Sustainability Limited, assured attendees that his company is leveraging technology to unlock the vast potential—estimated at over two billion dollars—within Nigeria’s forest sector.
