President Tinubu names one of the shinning stars in his Cabinet
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has extended birthday felicitations to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Chief Nyesom Wike, commending his leadership, dedication, and contributions to national development.
In a statement released on Friday and signed by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu joined family, friends, and colleagues in celebrating Wike, thanking God for a life defined by service, courage, and purpose.
The President described Wike as a bold, results-driven leader who consistently overcomes challenges to deliver impactful projects. Highlighting ongoing infrastructure expansions across the FCT, he credited the Minister with driving significant improvements in the nation’s capital.
President Tinubu particularly lauded Wike’s recent intervention in resolving a 14-year delay in the construction of the Apo–Karshi Road, calling it a major milestone for enhancing connectivity within Abuja.
Acknowledging the Minister’s resilience, proactive approach, and unwavering commitment to excellence, the President said Wike has emerged as one of the most outstanding performers in the Federal Executive Council.
“Nyesom Wike has been a shining star in the cabinet, delivering infrastructure projects in the Federal Capital like never before and proving that his reputation as ‘Mr Project’ extends beyond Rivers State,” President Tinubu said.
He also commended Wike for supporting the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda, noting the Minister’s dedication despite belonging to a different political party.
The President wished Chief Wike a happy birthday and prayed for continued strength and success as he advances development across the FCT.
