Police operatives in brave move raid kidnappers den, frees abducted three Passengers
Three individuals have been freed following a swift and daring operation which the police officers from the Gitata Division in Karu Local Government Area, Nasarawa State embarked on successfully raiding a notorious kidnapper’s den.
According to a statement released by the Command’s spokesperson, DSP Ramhan Nansel, the rescue mission was prompted by intelligence revealing that a Volkswagen Sharon, carrying three passengers, had been ambushed while traveling along the Kaduna-Keffi highway.
The victims were forcibly taken to an undisclosed location by the assailants.
The freed hostages were identified as Abdulsalam Shuaibu, Sani Shuaibu, and Blessing Okorie.
Acting quickly on the distress report, the Divisional Police Officer for the area, SP Zaks Wambai, coordinated a rapid response, leading his team to the location where they meticulously searched the area, resulting in the successful rescue.
“Consequently, the kidnappers’ hideout was burst, and they were dislodged, paving the way for the rescue of the victims unhurt.
“The Commissioner of Police, CP, Shetima Jauro Mohammed, in a comment, lauded the officers for a job well done and urged them to sustain the onslaught against criminals,” the statement said.
