Owner invited as Police Launch Investigation into Kidnapping, organ harvest allegations at popular Hotel
The Imo State Police Command has begun an investigation into a viral video alleging kidnapping and organ harvesting activities at H&C Hotel, located in Irete, Owerri West Local Government Area.
Commissioner of Police, CP Aboki Danjuma, ordered a comprehensive probe into the claims to determine their authenticity and ensure accountability.
Police Public Relations Officer, Henry Okoye, confirmed in a statement on Friday that the hotel’s owner, Mr. Allwell Onyedikachi Mmaduabuchi, had been invited for questioning.
“The hotel owner, Mr. Allwell Onyedikachi Mmaduabuchi, has been invited by the Police for questioning, while efforts are ongoing to locate and invite the individual who made the allegations to substantiate his claims with credible evidence that will aid the ongoing investigation,” Okoye said.
He added that the Command was treating the matter with utmost seriousness and had initiated all necessary steps to verify the claims.
“The case is receiving utmost attention, and all necessary investigative actions are being taken to ascertain the authenticity of the information contained in the viral video,” he stated.
Okoye assured the public that the police were committed to ensuring justice and maintaining public confidence in law enforcement.
“The Command remains steadfast in upholding the rule of law, ensuring justice without fear or favour, and maintaining public confidence in its commitment to safety and transparency. The Command is on top of the situation,” he added.
