Nigerian Senator demands N500 million, apology from Governor over theft allegation

Adelere Oriolowo, the Senator representing Osun West has demanded N500 million compensation from Osun state governor Ademola Adeleke over theft allegation.

The State government claimed that he stole machines and transformers while he headed an agency.

The senator also demanded that the governor apologize, threatening that he will sue the state government if his demands are not met.

Following findings by the Asset Recovery Committee chaired by Dr Bashir Salami, Oriolowo was asked to return five machines to the Osun State Agricultural Development Programme (OSSADEP).
