My people abandoned me when I needed them” Popular Actress slams home State Gov’t for lack of support during health crisis

Nollywood actress Ngozi Nwosu has expressed her disappointment with the Abia State government, recounting how she felt abandoned during her battle with a kidney-related illness.

In a recent interview with Nollywood on Radio, the 61-year-old actress revealed that she received little to no support from her home state during her health crisis.

As a result of this lack of assistance, Nwosu has vowed to no longer offer her services to the state without compensation.

Her comments reflect a deep sense of frustration and anger over the perceived neglect from the government during a time when she needed help the most.

she said: “I have personally decided that there is nothing my Abia State will call me for, that I would go for free.

“They would pay through their nose for me to go. I’m from Arochukwu, a local government area in the state.

Nwosu mentioned that a fan linked her to the Lagos State government and that fame was her saving grace.

“It was the fame I had through the roles I played in a series that helped me when I needed help.

“Because the person who reached out to the Lagos state government to save my life did that because she loves me as her favorite actor.”
