JUST IN; NPF mourns death of ACP after brief illness
The Nigeria Police Force in Plateau State has been thrown into mourning following the death of a senior officer, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Galadima Lassa.
Lassa, who headed the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) of the Plateau State Police Command, reportedly died in the early hours of Wednesday after a brief illness.
Confirming the development, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Alfred Alabo, paid tribute to the late officer, describing him as “a disciplined, dutiful, and committed officer dedicated to his official duties.”
The command noted that the deceased officer made notable contributions to crime-fighting efforts in the state during his service.
“The entire command mourns his loss and extends heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, colleagues, and the wider police community,” the statement added.
As of the time of filing this report, details surrounding the illness that led to his death, as well as funeral arrangements, had not been made public.
