Lifeless body of Motorcycle Rider found with serious injury and okada missing
On Friday, the lifeless body of an Okada rider named Yakubu was discovered along Arigidi Okeagbe Road, Ondo State.
His throat had been slit, and his motorcycle was missing.
This incident follows a troubling pattern, as two other Okada riders were killed in the same area last month.
In response to the violence, local women staged a protest, some appearing half-naked, demanding justice and the arrest of the perpetrators.
Yakubu’s body was found in the middle of the road.
The Ondo Amotekun Corps subsequently transported his body to the mortuary.
In light of the ongoing violence, traditional rulers from the Akoko region convened a meeting in Ogbagi Akoko to address the issue.
They called for the establishment of a special task force to tackle the escalating violence against motorcyclists.
