JUST IN; Six States Commands get new CPs as IGP urges them to combat crimes
Following the recent approval of new postings for Commissioners of Police (CPs) across commands and formations nationwide, the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, Ph.D., NPM, has issued a strong directive to the newly deployed officers.
He charged them to uphold the highest principles of professionalism and quality leadership to rid their respective states of criminal elements threatening national security.
These new postings, which take immediate effect, are a direct step towards the IGP’s vision of ensuring professional leadership in critical operational areas and enhancing the overall effectiveness of the Nigeria Police Force.
Among the newly posted senior police officers are: CP Naziru D. Abdulmajid, psc, to Borno State Command, CP Bello Rasheed Afegbua, psc, to Cross-River State Command, CP Dahiru Mohammed to Jigawa State Command, CP Adebowale Lawal to Ondo State Command, CP Ibrahim Gotan to Osun State Command, CP Eloho Edwin Okpoziakpo to the Department of Training and Development, Force Headquarters, CP Olusegun Eyitayo Omosayin to the FCID Annex, Gombe State as CP General Investigation
These strategic deployments are designed to leverage the extensive policing experience of these senior officers, aiming to drive effective policing strategies and ensure the safety and security of citizens within their new jurisdictions.
