Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed resigns from PDP, joins APM

Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed yesterday finally called it quits with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and immediately joined the Allied People’s Movement (APM) ahead of the 2027 elections .

He plans to return to the Senate on the ticket of his new party.

Mohammed was received into the APM by its national chairman, Yusuf Mamman Dantalle, at a ceremony in Bauchi.

Prior to switching to the APM, Mohammed had considered joining the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and the All Progressives Congress (APC) whose representatives he met at different times.

But it appears he was unable to reach an acceptable agreement with the ADC and APC for him to join either of them
