3 dead as Kidnappers engage Policemen in shoot out

Three of the suspected kidnappers that reportedly attacked Tufa village via Gawu Babangida in Gurara local government area to kidnap people in the village, have been confirmed dead after a fierce exchange of gunshots with the police.
The police, working with an intelligence report alongside vigilante team were led by the Divisional Police Officer in Gawu Babangida to the scene and engaged the kidnappers in a fierce gunshot exchange which left three of the kidnappers, 20 years Abdulqadir Abubakar, 22 years Nuhu Shuaibu, and 20 years Musa Maisaje fatally injured.
They were taken to Umar Musa Memorial Hospital, Sabon Wuse, where they were confirmed dead as a result of the fatal gunshot wounds during the encounter between the kidnappers and the police. The bodies have however, been deposited at the hospital morgue.
Confirming the incident, the Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Wasiu Abiodun, said that effort is ongoing to nab the fleeing members of the syndicate as the Commissioner of Police, Niger State Command, Adamu Usman, has given out a marching order to the command to embark on an aggressive manhunt of the kidnappers in the state.
He added that one AK 47 rifle with erased breach number, one empty magazine, one pump action, and Army camouflage uniform were recovered from the kidnappers. He finally added that the CP is committed to intensify efforts to reduce criminal acts in the state and pleaded to the civilians to always provide useful information to the police.
