Seyi Tinubu speaks as Cubana Chief Priest losses APC primary ticket

Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Tinubu, has reacted to the defeat of businessman and socialite, Pascal Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest, in the All Progressives Congress (APC) House of Representatives primary election in Imo State.

Cubana Chief Priest had contested for the APC ticket to represent Orsu/Orlu/Oru East Federal Constituency in the 2027 general elections but lost to the incumbent lawmaker, Hon. Canice Nwachukwu.

The nightlife entrepreneur, who currently serves as the Imo State Coordinator of the City Boys Movement, reportedly secured 14 votes in the primary election.

Following the outcome of the exercise, Seyi Tinubu took to Instagram to encourage the socialite, urging him not to lose hope despite the setback.

In the message later reposted by Cubana Chief Priest, Seyi wrote: “Bro, sometimes by losing a battle, you find a new way to win the war. Keep your head up @cubana_chiefpriest. We know what you are capable of achieving”.

The development has since attracted reactions on social media, with supporters of the socialite expressing mixed feelings over the outcome of the APC primary in the federal constituency.
