Kebbi State Governor, Dr. Nasir Idris, has categorically dismissed rumours that he is planning to leave the All Progressives Congress (APC), reaffirming his unwavering commitment to the party.

In a statement released on Sunday by his Chief Press Secretary, Ahmed Idris, the governor described the reports as “ridiculously malicious,” blaming “political jesters” bent on sowing discord.

Addressing claims linking him to a new coalition allegedly spearheaded by former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Idris made his position clear: “I am made in APC, by APC, and for APC.”

“For clarity’s sake, I am not a political prostitute,” he said. “I will be the last person to abandon my strong and reliable party for any coalition, regardless of who is behind it.”

Idris, fondly called Kauran Gwandu, stressed that his priority remains delivering good governance to the people of Kebbi State and backing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s leadership.

“If anyone tells you again that Kaura is planning to leave the APC, tell them I will be the last man standing,” he declared.

Describing the defection rumours as “the dance of madmen in the marketplace,” Idris reassured citizens that his administration is fully committed to the state’s progress under the APC platform.

“I remain solidly with the people of Kebbi State, and together, we will build on APC’s successes to deliver the true dividends of democracy,” he concluded.
