Funke Akindele opens up alleged snubbing of Pasuma in Lagos event
Nollywood actress and filmmaker, Funke Akindele, has dismissed viral claims that she ignored Fuji star Wasiu Alabi Odetola, popularly known as Pasuma, during a public event in Lagos.
The controversy erupted after a video surfaced on X showing Pasuma attempting to get the actress’s attention while she was engaged in a conversation with another person.
In the clip, Akindele appeared to continue her discussion as the singer eventually returned to his seat, sparking speculation that she had deliberately snubbed him.
An X user, Uoladiti, who shared the video, captioned it, “Moment Funke Akindele snubbed Pasuma in public. This is not looking good at all.”
Reacting, Akindele rejected the claim, insisting the interpretation of the moment was inaccurate.
“Snub? Hell no. Stop the negativity pls. I saw him, greeted him, danced with him. Pasuma is my Egbon. Pls you all should stop this evil,” she wrote.
She maintained that her interaction with the Fuji musician at the event was cordial, noting that they exchanged greetings and even danced together.
