Despite having 73 cases of COVID-19, Ganduje relaxes lockdown in Kano
Despite having an aggravated spread of Coronavirus in recent days in Nigeria, Governor Ganduje has relaxed the lockdown in the Kano State.
This was disclosed by the State Deputy Governor, Dr Nasir Gawuna while addressing the maiden briefing on the lock own and the coming of the Ramadan fast on Wednesday.
According to the Deputy Governor, the lockdown order has been relaxed from 6am on Thursday to 12am on Friday to enable residents prepare adequately for the forthcoming Ramadan fast.
Dr Nasir Gawuna said the relaxation had become necessary to allow residents stockpile foodstuff for Ramadan.\
He called on the people of the State to cooperate with the State Government in the efforts to curb the spread of the disease.
