APC is intimidating coalition party, ADC everywhere nationwide says Kenneth Okonkwo
Former Labour Party National Officer Kenneth Okonkwo has accused the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) of employing intimidation tactics to undermine opposition activities as the country prepares for the 2027 general elections.
Speaking on Arise Television’s Morning Show on Monday, Okonkwo claimed that the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has faced repeated disruptions while conducting meetings in various states.
“ADC is on fire. The only thing is that we have an APC that is using every method to intimidate and scatter the plans of the opposition,” he said.
Okonkwo highlighted incidents in Kaduna, Lagos, and Ekiti States, alleging that ADC gatherings were dispersed by thugs allegedly operating under the supervision of security agencies.
He further accused the APC of manipulating security institutions to frustrate opposition parties, a move he said contradicts the Electoral Act, which guarantees equal protection for all political parties.
Despite these challenges, Okonkwo expressed confidence in the ADC’s prospects, asserting that the party would form the next government. He described the APC as a party “already imploding.”
“ADC is going to form the next government of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. We are strategizing, and we are going to beat this APC. They are already imploding because all these endorsements are just an amalgamation of sycophants,” he added.
