Checkpoint set on fire as suspected Terrorists invade Community

Suspected terrorists on Saturday launched an attack on Tsamiya community in Bagudo Local Government Area of Kebbi State, setting ablaze a Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) checkpoint, a local brothel, and the residence of one Sule Mai Goge.

The incident was confirmed in a statement by the Police Public Relations Officer of the Kebbi State Command, SP Bashir Usman, who said one Alhaji Yusuf Bazamfare was abducted during the raid.

According to the statement, “one Alhaji Yusuf Bazamfare was kidnapped during the attack on the community.”

The command said tactical police operatives had since been deployed to Tsamiya following the incident to restore order and boost security in the area.

It added that a comprehensive investigation had commenced into the attack, while efforts were ongoing to rescue the abducted victim and apprehend those responsible.

The police assured residents of Tsamiya and adjoining communities of its commitment to restoring normalcy and ensuring public safety in the area.
