President Tinubu told the best person to be named 2027 campaign Director General
A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State, Princewill Dike, has called on President Bola Tinubuto appoint the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, as Director-General of his 2027 Presidential Campaign Council (PCC).
Speaking on Monday from Port Harcourt, Dike, a legal practitioner, said Wike’s political experience and extensive network make him well-suited to lead a successful reelection campaign for the President.
“I have consistently maintained that if Wike becomes the Director-General of President Tinubu’s reelection campaign, his opponents will face a formidable challenge,” Dike said.
He highlighted Wike’s tenure as governor of Rivers State, describing him as a strategist with the ability to deliver electoral victories.
Dike pointed to Wike’s nationwide political network, capacity to mobilise resources, hands-on campaigning style, and ability to fund and manage campaign activities effectively.
Dike added: “He knows the right political players and has the energy to crisscross the country to achieve results.”
He argued that Wike’s track record in elections, particularly his influence in Rivers State politics and role in previous electoral outcomes, further underscores his suitability for the position.
The APC chieftain expressed confidence that appointing Wike as PCC Director-General would bolster President Tinubu’s prospects in the 2027 general elections.
