The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Kayode Egbetokun, has sent two additional Armored Personnel Carriers (APCs) to Kebbi State to boost security efforts.
The new vehicles were officially handed over to Governor Nasir Idris on Monday.
The State Commissioner of Police, Bello Muhammad Sani, presented the APCs to the Governor at a ceremony in Birnin Kebbi.
Governor Idris praised the deployment as a major step forward in the fight against banditry, especially in hard-hit rural areas.
In a statement, the Governor’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Yahaya Sarki, said the Governor believes the APCs come at a crucial time.
With the rainy season in full swing and farming activities at their peak, the new vehicles will provide essential protection for farmers and vulnerable communities.
