Woman found dead inside Church auditorium
A 41-year-old woman was discovered dead in a suspected suicide at the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM) Prayer City on Friday.
The incident took place within the main auditorium of the worship center, located along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
The deceased has been identified as Benita Lurk Ikuenobe.
The church’s Chief Security Officer, Esiere Ekikere, reported the distressing discovery after receiving an emergency call around 7:20 AM, alerting him to an unconscious woman on the auditorium floor.
Upon arrival, Ekikere found Ms. Ikuenobe motionless, with an empty bottle of what is suspected to be a toxic substance, possibly Sniper, beside her.
The incident was immediately reported to the police.
Law enforcement officers swiftly responded, conducting initial documentation and photographing the scene as part of their investigation.
Ikuenobe’s body has since been moved to the Real Divine Hospital morgue, where an autopsy is anticipated to determine the exact cause of death.
Authorities have launched a full investigation into the tragic circumstances surrounding the incident.
