I will give you the trouble you’re looking for — Falz slams VeryDarkMan
Nigerian rapper, Folarin Falana, popularly known as Falz, has issued a strong warning to social media critic Martins Otse, known as VeryDarkMan, emphasising that he will face repercussions for his actions.
Falz’s comments come amidst a legal dispute ignited by a leaked audio recording involving crossdresser Bobrisky.
In the recording, Bobrisky alleged that both Falz and his father, Femi Falana, had contacted him during his time at the Kirikiri Correctional Centre, purportedly to assist in obtaining a presidential pardon.
The audio, which was disseminated by VeryDarkMan on social media, sparked significant online discussion and backlash. In response, Falz filed a lawsuit, stating that it was Bobrisky who had initially reached out to him for financial support.
Speaking on the Afro Beats podcast on Wednesday, Falz publicly addressed the controversy for the first time, accusing VeryDarkMan of spreading unfounded claims without any evidence.
Falz expressed his dissatisfaction with the critic’s failure to offer a public apology and warned that he would “give him the trouble he is looking for.
“When I reached out to him over the audio, this guy was instantly defensive from the beginning; I’m like bro, try and listen. What are you instantly fighting about?
“And he said without mincing words, ‘shebi you are a lawyer, you can go to court’.
“I will have him know that there is a criminal angle to defamation, but I chose not to go that way. He could have been arrested because what you posted is absolutely false and I need you to take it down and tender an apology within a certain amount of time and what did he do? Nothing.”
