You cant leave Buhari out and prosecute his Minister, Sirika alone for corruption

Social activist Aisha Yesufu has proposed joint prosecution for former President Muhammadu Buhari and his ex-Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) had charged and arraigned Sirika alongside his daughter, Fatima, son-in-law Jalal Sule Hamma, and a company called Al Buraq Global Investment Limited.

The anto-graft agency alleged that Sirika favoured his brother and his company, Enginos Nigeria Limited, with undue advantage. Contracts supposedly executed remain unfinished with no evidence of work completed.

Recently, Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development Festus Keyamo labeled the controversial Nigeria Air project, launched under the Buhari administration, as fraudulent. He stated that the project, touted as a national carrier and a beacon of hope for Nigerians, was plagued by secrecy and fraudulent practices and remains suspended.

Yesufu, in a post on her X handle, highlighted the inconsistency of prosecuting Sirika alone without including Buhari in the legal proceedings. She argued that such selective prosecution would be unfair.
