Widow of vendor killed by Gbajabiamila’s aide disowns family members over N500m request

Josephine Okereke, the wife of a Newspaper vendor killed by Gbajabiamila’s security aide has disowned her husband’s family for demanding a whooping N500m from the Speaker.

It was learnt that the family of the deceased, had written to Gbajabiamila through their lawyer, Chief Mike Ozekhome (SAN) demanding the sum of N500m.

However, CRIMECHENNELS learnt that, Josephine Okereke, has asked the House of Representatives Speaker, Femi Gbajabiamila to ignore the N500m demand made by her late husband’s family.

It was learnt that the widow spoke at a press conference in Abuja on Thursday.

While disowning the family of her late husband, she urged the Speaker to go ahead with the promise he made to her and her children when he visited her residence, which is making sure that she and her 2 children doesn’t suffer.

It could be recalled that the DSS apprehended the operative, Abdullahi Hassan, who shot Ifeanyi Okereke, last week Thursday. The operative is currently in Police custody, awaiting prosecution.
