Suspeced gunmen invade Secondary school, mistake NECO Examination papers for money

Some gunmen at the weekend, dispossessed a NECO supervisor of some papers that were folded neatly. Unknown to the robbers, the packaged papers happened to be questions meant for Students. The robbers, CRIMECHANNELS learnt, thought the paper were naira notes.

Speaking on the incident, a source at GDSS Unguwan Sarki Kaduna, told newsmen that the Supervisor, had gone to the bank to collect the papers, unknown to her, some robbers who were waiting inside a car trailed her while she walked to the location of the exam.

“Thinking it was money, they demanded she hands over the bulk of the wrapped papers to them and threatened to shoot her. They were told it was not money but they would not listen. They snatched the papers and disappeared into thin air,” said the source.

The incident caused some commotion at the School area as some staffs who witnessed it thought it was bandits who had found their way into the school premises.

It was learnt that staffs including students hid under their table, afraid that the gunmen will come inside and start shooting at them.


After the robbers left the area, Teachers, students and other people around the school premises got up. It was learnt that the school and NECO staff had to go to other centres to get some questions papers to enable the GDSS students take their exams.
