Govt approves bonus for all workers, pensioners to celebrate Eid-el-Kabir

Zamfara State Governor, Dr. Dauda Lawal, has approved the payment of Sallah (Eid-el-Kabir) bonuses to all civil servants and pensioners in the state, in a move aimed at supporting families during the festive period.

The gesture, according to the state government, underscores the Governor’s commitment to the well-being of citizens and his desire to ensure they celebrate the Eid with joy and dignity.

Announcing the development in a statement on Tuesday, the Commissioner for Information and Culture, Alhaji Mahmoud Muhammad Dantawasa, said the bonus is intended to ease financial pressures and promote a more fulfilling celebration for workers and retirees.

Governor Lawal, who is currently performing Hajj in Saudi Arabia, sent his warmest greetings to the people of Zamfara, wishing them a peaceful and joyous Eid-el-Kabir.

He also urged residents to celebrate responsibly and to remember Zamfara in their prayers, especially for sustained peace, progress, and prosperity in the state.

“I am deeply grateful to Almighty Allah for granting us the opportunity to witness yet another Eid. As we celebrate, I urge us all to reflect on the essence of this season — unity, sacrifice, and compassion.

“Let us pray for our beloved Zamfara State and our nation, Nigeria. Together, we can build a better future for ourselves and generations to come,” Governor Lawal said.
