Policeman killed, 3 Immigration officers kidnapped by gunmen
A Police officer has been killed while three (3) Immigrations Service officers have been reportedly kidnapped by gunmen in Lokoja, Kogi State.
The officers of the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) were been driven by the Policeman from Lagos State when they were ambushed by the gunmen around Lokoja the capital city of Kogi State.
The kidnapped officers are two Deputy Superintendents and one Chief Superintendent of Immigration.
According to DAILYINDEPENDENT “they were said to have been summoned to Abuja on Monday by the Comptroller General of the NIS, Mohammed Babandede, in respect of the leaked COVID-19 palliative accounts documents published by Sunday Independent newspaper on May 17, 2020”.
