Police arrest lady for killing her lover

Operatives of the Divisional Police Headquarters, Okigwe in Imo State had on March 28, 2020 arrested a lady that allegedly killed her lover.

The police spokesperson in the state, Orlando Ikokwwu, while confirming the news explained that the lady, Chinelo Joseph, killed her lover Okenna Ekwebelem, on that day after she visited the deceased at his residence.

He disclosed that the deceased and the victim have been in a relationship for a while and the altercation that happened that day was as a result of the lady wanting to leave after the visit.

The deceased was said to have disapproved that by blocking the way but the lady insisted on leaving.

This according to the police spokesman led to a serious argument which led the man to beat the lady seriously. She responded by hitting the deceased with an iron on his chest which led to his death on the spot.

In his words, “The corpse has been deposited in a morgue, the suspect has been arrested and she has confessed to the crime; she will be prosecuted accordingly.”
