One Police officer, 12 others killed as suspected gunmen burn Police Station in deadly attack
The activities of bandits in Niger State is steadily on the rise, with the recent attack occurring on Monday, May 31, 2021.
According to sources, CRIMECHANNELS learnt that no fewer than 13 persons, including a Police officer were hacked to death by armed bandits.
The bandits during the course of unleashing terror also burnt down a Police Station and several vehicles. The incident it was gathered occurred in Beri town in Bobi district of Niger state.
It was learnt that the attack was reported in a memo by the Niger State Emergency Management Agency on Monday. According to the emergency agency, the attack left scores of people injured.
The agency listed the names of the deceased as: Idris Ahmed Kwata, Hadiza Umaru Tunga, Momi Dalladi, Ibrahim Dalkadi, Yau Dalladi, Saadiya Garba, Garba Umar Tashanjirgi, Hussaini Shuaib, Ayuba Garba, Abdullahi Jodi, Alhaji Isah Kasakohi and Fatima Nasiru Kwata.
The tragic incident is coming a day after suspected bandits
stormed an Islamic School in the state and abducted about 200 students.
