Nigeria records 999 new COVID-19 infections as NCDC lists states by states breakdown

The Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced nine hundred ninety nine (999) new cases of Coronavirus infections in the country.

This was made known through a statement released via its official Twitter account Tuesday evening.

According to the statement FCT recorded 416 new COVID-19 infections, followed by Lagos State with 324 new cases and Kaduna State with 68 new infections.

Jigawa, Taraba, Edo, Oyo, Ogun, Bauchi, and Rivers States all recorded l2ss than 10 new cases of Coronavirus infections in the last 24 hours.

The statement also revealed that total number of COVID-19 cases in Nigeria is now 79, 779. Out these cases 68,879 have been treated and discharged from Isolation Centres across Nigeria, while
1,231 deaths have been recorded so far
