Man confesses raping his three biological daughters, gives reason for his action
A man identified as Igbo Thomas, has been locked at a correctional facility in Akwa, Anambra state for allegedly having sexual intercourse with 3 of his biological daughters.
CRIMECHANNELS gathered that the incident which occurred on May 24, 2021, took place in the suspect’s village, Enuoji village in Enugwu Ukwu, Njikoka Local Government Area of Anambra State.
A resident of the village told newsmen that the suspect was apprehended by operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) attached to Anambra State, on May 24.
He said that the suspect when interrogated by security operatives put the blame on his addiction to alcohol.
Meanwhile, confirming that the suspect has been locked up, the Police Public Relations Officer of Anambra State Police Command, Okadigbo Edwin, in a statement on Wednesday, said that the suspect was charged to court after the conclusion of the investigation, prompting the decision against him.
His full statement reads, “It will be recalled that on May 24, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Anambra State Command arrested one Mr. Igbo Thomas of Okolo Ani village Igbo Etiti LGA Enugu State for allegedly having canal knowledge of his 3 daughters.”
“Upon conclusion of thorough investigation, the suspect was arraigned at the State High Court Awka and has been remanded at Awka Correctional Center by the Judge.”
