Learner Driver reportedly crushes 11-year-old own Child to death
Tragedy struck in the timber town of Sapele, Delta State, Tuesday, after a mother reportedly learning how to drive, rammed into her daughter, killing her on the spot.
The deceased, simply identified as Ella, was 11-year-old.
It was gathered that some other persons were injured in the incident which occurred along Atufe Road, Sapele.
According to reports, the mother lost control of the vehicle after she mistakenly stepped on the accelerator instead of the brake pedal.
It was gathered that she had been learning how to drive for some time before the unfortunate incident.
The remains of the 11-year-old had since been buried.
Efforts to get comments from the Delta State Police Command proved futile as repeated calls to the spokesperson, DSP Bright Edafe, rang out, while a text message to his phone line was yet to be replied.
