JUST IN; Newlywed Woman killed by stray bullet set to be buried

Mrs. Ifeoma Amarachukwu Ochiagha, a native of Anambra State, will be laid to rest this Thursday following her tragic death during an attack in Nnobi.

Amarachukwu, aged 22, was fatally struck by a stray bullet during a clash between vigilante operatives and gunmen at Nnobi Junction last Monday.

The incident occurred after vigilantes received intelligence about an armed gang entering Nnewi through Nnobi.

Sadly, the commander, Mr. Eloka Ubajekwe, also lost his life along with others caught in the crossfire. Amarachukwu had recently celebrated her marriage and was looking forward to a promising future before her untimely demise.

Reports indicated that the gunmen, believed to be separatist activists, were aiming to enforce the discontinued Monday sit-at-home protest in the South East.

A post by one of her relatives read: “One of the victims of the Nnobi/Nnewi Monday sit-at-home mayhem will be buried on Thursday.

“Amarachukwu, who got married on Saturday, met her sudden death (unknown gunmen) the next Monday.

“May your gentle soul rest in peace, Nwadiana.”
