You have entered “one chance” vehicle – PDP Governors mock Atiku, David Mark others for joining ADC

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governors’ Forum has said the party has grown stronger following the defection of some of its chieftains to the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

In a statement issued on Monday by its Director General, Emmanuel Agbo, the Forum accused the defectors of launching “irresponsible verbal attacks” after realising they had joined what it described as a “one-chance vehicle.”

The Forum likened the development to the Biblical story of the prodigal son, insisting that the departure of the aggrieved members had restored peace and stability within the PDP.

It added that while the party had moved on without them, its doors remained open to any repentant defectors who may wish to return and show genuine remorse.

“Since their exit, the PDP has become much more formidable and focused, with clear determination to have our eyes on the ball.
“The ADC before now, with their inordinate sense of entitlement, constituted a huge clog to the wheel of national unity and harmony.

“The security situation in the country was of grave concern to the PDP governors, which took centre stage in our deliberation and resolution as contained in the communique.

“That the ADC couldn’t see that much isn’t surprising, as the prodigal son wasn’t known to have any pity on his father’s fortune,” the Forum said.

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, ex-Senate President David Mark, former lawmaker Dino Melaye, and several others have left the PDP to join the ADC, the platform of the opposition coalition.
