JUST IN; CP hails LG Chairman for building brand new Police Station for officers and men

The outgoing Commissioner of Police in charge of Lagos State Command, AIG Hakeem Odumosu has hailed the Chairman of Olorunda Local Council Development Area, Samson Olatunde, for erecting a befitting police station and equipping it to enhance modern-day policing.

The station named “Ilogbo-Eremi Police Station,” was expected to serve over 200,000 people of Oke-Ira; Iyesi; Aladeogun; Ayede Yeponowa, Damo-Seje; Zuveh/Whezume; Gomajayi; Ijotun; Eye Nkole; Temole and Ikoga communities.

Odumosu, who was recently promoted to Assistant Inspector-General of Police (IGP), noted that the station would keep away criminals who had taken the absence of a standard police station to perpetrate criminal activities.

“We assure you that the officers shall make judicious use of the facility. We will continue to put in our best to ensure that criminals are completely sent out of this area so that socio-political, economic and cultural activities can strive without any encumbrances,” he said.

The council Chairman, Samson Olatunde thanked Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu for supporting the council.

“The support has gingered the present administration in Olorunda LCDA to take the issue of security very important,” he said.

According to him, the Ilogbo-Eremi Police Station marked another stride and achievement in the effort to provide adequate security, protection of lives, properties and maintain peaceful co-existence among the citizens of the council.
