In a shocking turn of events at St. Columbus Catholic Church in Amaimo, Imo State, Reverend Father Joseph Enyinaya faces criminal charges after allegedly shooting a young boy who lit a firecracker during year-end celebrations.
According to witnesses, the priest drew a revolver and fired at the youth after a firecracker was thrown inside the church premises on December 31.
Police spokesman Henry Okoye confirmed the arrest and reported that the victim’s body has been transferred to Atta Ikeduru Mortuary.
