I invested N1.4 billion in my Film Village without loan from Bank — Popular Actor reveals
Renowned Nollywood actor and filmmaker Ibrahim Chatta has revealed that he invested a substantial N1.4 billion of his own money to establish his film village in Oyo Town, Oyo State.
In a recent video, Chatta discussed the considerable financial and logistical challenges he encountered while developing the 74-acre site.
Chatta emphasized that the entire funding for the project came from his personal resources, without reliance on loans or grants from financial institutions.
The film village, now operational, serves as a cultural and production hub designed to showcase traditional Yoruba architecture and cultural heritage. It features indigenous-style houses, animal stables, and other elements reflective of Yoruba traditions.
The actor also revealed that financial hurdles extended the project’s completion time to four years, illustrating the significant effort and dedication required to bring his vision to fruition.
