How cult members kill OPC member in reprisal operation

A certain Kolawole Ajomale, a member of the Oodua People’s Congress (OPC), was allegedly killed by Korede Pariosho and Jide Afolabi on April 5 in Ijebu-Igbo, Ogun State.

The duo explained that they stormed the deceased house to murder him in revenge of their cult member that was killed by members of the Oodua People’s Congress in 2017.

The suspects, who have been nabbed by the police, added that they shot him in the head and stomach in the presence of his expectant wife.

Police Spokesman, Abimbola Oyeyemi, while addressing newsmen explained that the culprits were arrested yesterday after the police received intelligence-based investigation by the detectives at Ijebu-Igbo Police division led by Superintendent of Police, Kazeem Solotan.

He however added that the Commissioner of Police, Kenneth Ebrimson has directed that the suspects be transferred to the homicide section of the State criminal investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID) for a discreet investigation and prosecution.

He added that the gun used to carry out the operation was recovered from them. He finally stated that they have been on their trail since they attacked the victim at his residence (No. 20 Odo Balogun Street Oke Sopen, Ijebu-Igbo) before they were arrested yesterday.
