Governor laments resurgence of notorious street gang, called Sara-Suka

Bauchi State Governor, Sen Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, has expressed deep concern over the escalating criminal activities perpetrated by the notorious gang known as Sara-Suka in the state, particularly within Bauchi metropolis.

During a State Executive Council (SEC) meeting held at the Governor’s Office, Governor Bala Mohammed reaffirmed his administration’s unwavering commitment to combatting those who disrupt the peace and well-being of the state and its people.

He emphasised that his government will not yield to criminals or fraudsters, stressing that law enforcement agencies will vigorously pursue and apprehend them.

Governor Mohammed urged the perpetrators to surrender voluntarily, warning them that their days of impunity are numbered. He underscored the administration’s determination to collaborate closely with security agencies to bolster the state’s security framework.


The Governor’s tough stance sends a clear message to criminals operating in Bauchi State: reform or face decisive action. He also pledged to support rehabilitation efforts for those willing to change their ways.

Governor Mohammed called on members of the SEC to uphold principles of good governance and transparency, essential in addressing crime and promoting accountability.

He highlighted the importance of community cooperation and proactive policing in achieving a safer environment for all residents.

Reflecting on Bauchi’s potential to lead in effective crime prevention and community policing nationwide, Governor Mohammed stressed the need for collective effort and resolute action to realise this vision.
