Ebonyi, Adamawa States get new Commissioners of Police as new men take over Commands

CRIMECHANNELS gathered that Aliyu Adamu Alhaji, on Monday, Jan 18, assumed duty as the new Commissioner of Police in Adamawa state.

It was learnt that Aliyu Garba, also assumed duty on Monday, as Commissioner of Police for Ebonyi state.

Aliyu Adamu, who hails from Gombe state, while addressing newsmen in Adamawa, vowed to arrest and prosecute the criminal elements known in the state as Shila boys.

Shila boys, according to reports, are known for kidnapping, armed robbery and intimidating innocent citizens.


Aliyu Adamu assured the people of Adamawa state that he will rid the state of all criminal activities.

Meanwhile, Ebonyi state new Commissioner of Police, Aliyu Garba, noted that efforts would be put in place to ensure that armed robbery, kidnapping, cultism and other ill social vices are brought to its barest minimum in the state.

Aliyu Garba hails from Kontagora local government area of Niger state.

Aliyu Garba took over from Sule Philip Maku who has been transferred to the Special Protection Unit, force headquarters Abuja.
