Days after visiting IBB, Abdulsalami, Atiku visits former President Buhari in Daura

Former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate in the 2023 general election, Atiku Abubakar has on Saturday visited former President Muhammadu Buhari at his residence in Daura.

Atiku who is also a former vice president was captured in a video posted on X by former presidential aide Buhari Sallau, entering Buhari’s residence in Daura with his entourage.

Sallau captioned the video: “Former Vice President Alhaji Atiku Abubakar pays a visit to former President Muhammadu Buhari in Daura.”

Atiku had on Wednesday, June 19 visited former Heads of State Gen. Ibrahim Babangida (rtd) and Gen. Abdusalami at their residences in Minna, Niger State.

Atiku’s recent visits have fueled speculation that he is laying the groundwork for a potential presidential bid in 2027.

Recall that in May, he reaffirmed his commitment to run for the presidency as long as his health permits. This statement coincided with efforts to forge a coalition with Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP) and other political factions.
