Court announces date to deliver Judgment on Nnamdi Kanu’s case

The Federal High Court in Abuja has brought forward its ruling on the no-case submission filed by Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), to Friday, September 26, 2025.

Originally set for October 10, the new date was confirmed by one of Kanu’s legal representatives, Aloy Ejimakor, who disclosed the development in a post on his official X account on Monday.

“The scheduled ruling on Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s no-case submission has been abridged from 10th October 2025 to Friday, 26th September 2025,” Ejimakor wrote.

Kanu is currently standing trial on terrorism-related charges brought against him by the federal government, stemming from his ongoing campaign for the secession of Biafra from Nigeria.

According to a court notice regarding the revised date, any party wishing to seek a postponement must submit a formal request to the court as early as possible.

The notice further stated that any such request based on factual grounds must be supported with verifiable evidence.
